DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
Supervisor Spering requests that the Board approve the appointment of Jan Davenport to the Senior Coalition of Solano County, representing District 3, for a two year term to expire March 27, 2019.
SUMMARY:
Jan Davenport has an extensive history of community involvement, including prior service as a member of the Senior Coalition, the Suisun City Parks and Recreation Commission, the Solano History Exploration Center and the Suisun City Foundation.
She worked as a property manager for a senior citizen complex in Suisun City for over 20 years and is very familiar with the issues seniors face on a daily basis.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no financial impact associated with this appointment.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board can choose not to appoint Jan Davenport to the Senior Coalition of Solano County. This is not recommended as Ms. Davenport is qualified and has a desire to serve the senior community in this capacity.
