DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

Supervisor Skip Thomson requests that the Board adopt a resolution recognizing and honoring NorthBay Guild’s Diamond Anniversary for their support of fundraising efforts on behalf of NorthBay and the community.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

The NorthBay Guild was founded in 1957 and has been pivotal in fundraising and supporting NorthBay Hospital facilities, patients, and families throughout the past 60 years. The NorthBay Guild has continuously supported the hospital by funding capital projects, new healthcare programming, and ongoing hospital services. Currently, the NorthBay Guild has more than 275 members in Solano County and their volunteers continue to be one of the most consistent contributors supporting the NorthBay Hospital mission.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

There is no cost to the County with regard to the adoption of this resolution.

ALTERNATIVES:

The Board could choose not to adopt this resolution; however, this is not recommended as it is an opportunity to recognize the significant achievements of the NorthBay Guild over the past 60 years and their contribution to quality hospital services in Solano County.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:

No other agencies are involved in this resolution.
