DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) recommends that the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve a second contract amendment with the Sanborn Map Company, Inc. for $65,918 for a total contract amount of $1,582,893 to deliver additional orthoimagery and Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) products to Department of Information Technology and Regional GIS Consortium partners; and
2. Delegate authority to the County Administrator, with County Counsel concurrence, to execute the second amendment and any subsequent amendments up to $74,999 per fiscal year.
SUMMARY:
The existing contractual agreement with the Sanborn Mapping Contract incorporates collection of orthoimagery every year and Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) data of Solano County once during the 6-year agreement. orthoimagery is flown every year at 3" resolution over all incorporated areas along with areas included in the Sphere of Influence for each City in the County. Unincorporated areas are be acquired every three years at the 3" resolution starting in 2022. Oblique imagery will be collected every year where orthoimagery is collected along with updating planimetric data for buildings, edge of pavement, parking lots, and airports.
