DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
Supervisor Brown requests the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution honoring Benicia Police Chief Mike Greene upon his retirement from the City of Benicia.
SUMMARY:
Benicia Police Chief Mike Greene recently retired from the Benicia Police Department, concluding his 30-year law enforcement career. Chief Greene leaves a legacy of respect, and caring, while also serving as a shining example of community policing.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the department’s FY2023/24 Working Budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board may choose not to adopt this resolution recognizing Benicia Police Chief Mike Greene, but this is not recommended as Chief Greene was instrumental in providing superior law enforcement to the Benicia community.
