DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
Supervisor Monica Brown requests the Board of Supervisors approve the reappointment of George Kennedy to the Solano County Fair Association Board of Directors, representing District 2, for a term to expire on July 31, 2028.
SUMMARY:
George Kennedy has more than 25 years of experience in managing food operations. Mr. Kennedy currently serves as the director of Elevate Gourmet Brands and as Chairman of the Solano County Fair Association Budget Advisory Committee. Mr. Kennedy also currently serves as president of the Solano County Fair Association Board of Directors.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the department’s FY2023/24 Working Budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board of Supervisors could decide not to appoint Mr. Kennedy, however, this is not recommended, as he is well qualified for the position.
