DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
Supervisor Wanda Williams requests the Board approve the appointment of Jonathan Richardson to the Planning Commission representing District 3 to fill an unexpired term through January 31, 2027.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Mr. Richardson is extremely qualified to fill the position on the Planning Commission. He has served the community for many years, including eight years as a Trustee on the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District Board of Trustees and the City of Fairfield Mayor’s Commission on Crime. Mr. Richardson is U.S. Air Force Veteran who has lived and been active in Solano County for over 20 years. Mr. Richardson would contribute an understanding of government programs and is very interested in serving in this position.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no impact to the General Fund by making this appointment.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board of Supervisors could choose not to appoint Mr. Richardson, but that would not be recommended as he is well qualified for the position and would be an asset to the Planning Commission and Solano County.
