DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Health and Social Services (H&SS) recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve a first contract amendment with St. Helena Hospital dba Adventist Health Vallejo for $115,725 for a total contract amount of $199,725 to provide acute psychiatric inpatient services for the current period through June 30, 2025; and delegate authority to the County Administrator to execute the amendment and any subsequent amendments, with County Counsel concurrence, up to an aggregate of $74,999.
SUMMARY:
A 21-month contract for $84,000 was executed on July 9,2024 with St. Helena Hospital dba Adventist Health Vallejo to provide acute psychiatric inpatient treatment services for Solano County Medi-Cal beneficiaries or indigent clients who are referred by Solano County Behavioral Health. Over the last few months there has been an increase in referrals/admissions to the facility. This first contract amendment increases the total contract amount to $199,725 and will provide for the continuation of clinical and medical services that are recognized and accepted for the diagnosis and treatment of behavioral disorders or psychological injuries.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The contract amendment will be funded with 1991 and 2011 Realignment. Appropriations are available in the FY2024/25 Working Budget. The costs of preparing this agenda item are nominal and are absorbed by the Department's FY2024/25 Working Budget. There is no addition...
