DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Human Resources (HR) recommends the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution amending the List of Numbers and Classifications of Positions to delete 1.0 FTE Office Coordinator (TBD) and add 1.0 FTE Project Manager in the Health and Social Services Department (H&SS).
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On March 12, 2024, the Board of Supervisors approved Resolution No. 2024-23 to add 1.0 FTE Office Coordinator (TBD) position to provide support to the Napa/Solano Area Agency on Aging (N/S AAA) pending a review and recommendation by the Department of Human Resources (HR). HR reviewed the work requirements which included oversight of contracts, including compliance with State and federal requirements, resource allocations, program evaluations and other administrative functions. In coordination with H&SS, HR determined the appropriate classification is Project Manager.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The FY2024/25 Working Budget for the Napa/Solano Area Agency on Aging includes an appropriation of $167,072 in salary and benefits for this position and it is funded with Solano County General Fund and Napa County's contribution.
The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the Department's FY2024/25 Working Budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board of Supervisors could elect not to amend the List of Numbers and Classifications of Positions to delete the 1.0 FTE Office Coordinator (TBD) and add the 1.0 FTE Project Manager; however, HR does not recommend this alternative since the roles and responsibilities of the position align with the classification of Project Manager and modifying the position responsi...
