DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
Supervisor Hannigan requests the Board approve a short-term extension of Rizal Aliga to the Greater Vallejo Recreation District Board representing District 1 for a term ending December 5, 2025.
SUMMARY/DICUSSION:
Rizal Aliza is currently serving as the appointee to the Greater Vallejo Recreation Board (GRVD) for District 1 and is thriving on the board. This is a request for a short-term appointment to extend his term to December 5, 2025, per the request of GVRD, and to be in line with their current appointments as well as California Public Resource Code §5784.3.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the department’s FY2024/25 Working Budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board of Supervisors could choose not to approve this recommendation, but that is not the recommendation, as Mr. Aliga is qualified to continue to represent District 1.
