DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The District Attorney recommends the Board of Supervisors accept the selection of Lidia Arceo as the “Employee of the Month” for August 2026, making her eligible to use the parking space designated under this program.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

On September 13, 2005, the Board of Supervisors established the County Government Center “Employee of the Month” parking program for County employees. Each month a County department is designated to select one of its employees as "Employee of the Month."  The District Attorney’s Office has been designated to select an employee for August 2026 and has selected Deputy District Attorney III, Lidia Arceo.

Lidia joined the Solano County District Attorney’s Office in February 2022. In her 4 years at the office, Lidia has quickly learned how to manage a heavy caseload consisting of a wide variety of misdemeanor and felony charges. Despite carrying a voluminous caseload, Lidia gives each individual case the time and attention it deserves. She has an incredible work ethic, pays attention to detail, and has proven to be the ultimate team player.

Despite her large caseload, Lidia never hesitates to help her colleagues out; in fact, on numerous occasions she has volunteered to assist them without request or hesitation. Lidia is a great representative of the People as she is professional, prepared, and passionate about the important work the District Attorney’s Office does. She is always focused on the department’s mission to seek and do justice, giving victims a voice, holding offenders accountable, and prosecuting cases ethically, honestly, and with integrity.

Lidia is a great asset to the District Attorney’s Office, and more importantly, to the citizens of Solano County. The District Attorney’s Office is grateful to have such a great advocate for public service and a prosecutor with a “can-do” attitude. Lidia’s character together with her dedication and commitment to the community make her a great representative of the District Attorney’s Office, and therefore, she is very deserving of the “Employee of the Month” recognition.
