DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The District Attorney recommends the Board of Supervisors acknowledge the selection of Christine De Leo as the “Employee of the Month” for August 2025, making her eligible to use the parking space designated under this program.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On September 13, 2005, the Board of Supervisors established the County Government Center “Employee of the Month” parking program for County employees. Each month a county department is designated to select one of its employees as "Employee of the Month." The District Attorney’s Office has been designated to select an employee for August 2025 and has selected Deputy District Attorney III, Christine De Leo.
Christine joined the Solano County District Attorney’s Office in December 2019. In her 5 ½ years at the office, Christine has quickly learned how to manage a heavy caseload consisting of a wide variety of misdemeanor and felony charges. Despite carrying a voluminous caseload, Christine gives each individual case the time and attention it deserves. She has an incredible work ethic, pays attention to detail, and has proven to be the ultimate team player.
Earlier this year, when asked if she could handle a busy felony department by herself, Christine accepted without hesitation. Every day, whether Christine is in the office or representing the People in Court, she is professional, prepared, and passionate about the important work we do. She is always focused on our mission to seek and do justice- giving victims a voice, holding offenders accountable, and prosecuting cases ethically, honestly and with integrity.
Christine is a great asset to our office, and more importantly to the citizens of Solano County. We are grateful to have such a great advocate for public service and a prosecutor with a “can-do” attitude. Christine’s character together with her dedication and commitment to our community make her a great representative of the District Attorney’s Office, and therefore, she is very deserving of the “Employee of the Month” recognition.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this designation. The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the department’s FY2025/26 Working Budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board of Supervisors could elect to not accept designation of the recommended employee; however, such action is not recommended as Ms. De Leo’s exemplary job performance is deserving of recognition under the Board’s “Employee of the Month Parking” program.
