DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) recommends the Board adopt a Resolution and plaque of appreciation honoring Leonora W. Salet, Information Technology Analyst IV, upon her retirement from Solano County with 25 years of dedicated public service with Solano County.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Leonora (Nora) Salet is retiring from DoIT effective December 1, 2023 with 25 years of dedicated public service to Solano County and over 23 years being served with DoIT.
Nora Salet started her public service on February 9, 1998 as a Programmer Analyst for the Assessor’s Office in the Solano County Integrated Property System (SCIPS) Division. On January 9, 2000, she was promoted to Systems Analyst in the Information Technology Support Team supporting PeopleSoft Human Resources Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Ms. Salet facilitated and supported the internal staff with the PeopleSoft Human Resources ERP system and liaised between Human Resources, Payroll and DoIT for technology needs. On July 20, 2003, Ms. Salet promoted to Systems Analyst (Senior) in DoIT supporting PeopleSoft.
Ms. Salet worked on the PeopleSoft Human Resources ERP to implement system upgrades including a new Benefit Administration process, Administer Training Module, numerous countywide reports, queries, and processes. Ms. Salet administered the software application called Paybase/Web Series/C-Series for printing all County checks for payroll, accounts payable and Health & Social Services (H&SS). She worked closely with the IT Operations group, H&SS and Auditor staff to ensure consistent and appropriate use of the Paybase/Web Series/C-Series system to support County operations. On December 17, 2017, she was reclassified to an IT Analyst IV. Ms. Salet has built and maintained strong relationships with her business partners and other DoIT teams to foster collaboration and effective support for many county departments.
After more than 25 years of service and during her tenure, Ms. Salet consistently demonstrated a high level of service and dedication where her impact will continue to be felt for many years.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the department’s FY2023/24 Working Budget. The costs associated with preparation and purchase of the resolution materials and plaque are included in the Board’s FY2023/24 Working Budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board may choose not to adopt this Resolution and approve this plaque of appreciation; however, this is not recommended because this is an opportunity to recognize Ms. Salet for her dedication and outstanding contributions to the County.

There is no other agency involvement.
