DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

 

The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) recommends the Board of Supervisors to adopt a resolution and plaque of appreciation honoring Peter Linden, Information Technology Analyst IV, upon his retirement from the Department of Information Technology with over 28 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.

 

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

 

Over his tenure, Mr. Linden has significantly contributed to the County’s Property Management System and its migration to Aumentum for the Department of Information Technology.

 

Mr. Linden started his public service on December 23, 1996, as a Programmer for the Assessor’s Office in the Solano County Integrated Property System (SCIPS) Division. Mr. Linden promoted to Programmer Analyst on May 14, 2000, and then again promoted to a Systems Analyst on April 01, 2001. Mr. Linden facilitated and supported the internal staff with the property management application systems. Mr. Linden’s position moved from the Assessor’s Office to DoIT on July 1, 2007, where he liaised between Assessor/Recorder, Treasurer-Tax Collector and Auditor Controller’s Departments and DoIT for technological needs.  On December 17, 2017, Mr.  Linden’s position was reclassified to Information Technology Analyst III in DoIT. 

 

Mr.  Linden worked on migration of County Integrated Property System (SCIPS) to Aumentum. He was promoted to an IT Analyst IV on July 12, 2020. Mr.  Linden has built and maintained strong relationships with his business partners and other DoIT teams to foster collaboration and effective support for many County departments.

 

Mr.  Linden is retiring on June 12, 2025, after more than 28 years of service and during his tenure, Mr.  Linden consistently demonstrated a high level of service and dedication where his impact will continue to be felt for many years.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

 

The costs associated with preparation and purchase of the resolution materials and plaque are included in the Board’s FY2024/25 Working Budget.

 

ALTERNATIVES:

 

The Board may choose not to adopt this resolution and approve this plaque of appreciation; however, this is not recommended because this is an opportunity to recognize Mr. Linden for his dedication and outstanding contributions to the County. 

 

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:

 

There is no other agency involvement.
