DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

 

The Auditor-Controller’s Office recommends that the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution and plaque of appreciation honoring Gilda P. Sanga, Accountant-Auditor III, upon her retirement from the Auditor-Controller’s Office with 24 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.

 

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

 

Gilda P. Sanga will be retiring on December 2, 2025, as an Accountant-Auditor III, with the Auditor-Controller’s Office, Property Tax Division after 24 years of service to Solano County.

 

Gilda P. Sanga started her career with Solano County on October 22, 2001, as an Accounting Clerk I with the Auditor Controller’s Office. On March 3, 2002, Gilda P. Sanga was promoted to the Auditor-Controller’s Property Tax Division as an Accountant-Auditor I. On August 14, 2005, she was promoted to Accountant-Auditor II. On January 25, 2009, Gilda P. Sanga was promoted to Accountant-Auditor III in the Auditor-Controller’s Property Tax Division.

 

As an Accountant-Auditor III, Gilda P. Sanga served as the division lead, mentored coworkers, and provided training and guidance to both new and experienced staff. Gilda P. Sanga most notably worked on multi-year projects, specifically, the dissolution of redevelopment agencies and the implementation of the County’s new integrated property tax system.

 

Throughout her career, Gilda P. Sanga demonstrated exceptional dedication, commitment, loyalty, and dependability to the Auditor-Controller’s Office and Solano County. 

 

Gilda P. Sanga will be greatly missed. We wish Gilda P. Sanga a long, happy, and healthy retirement.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

 

The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are included in the department’s FY2025/26 Working budget and the preparation and purchase of the resolution materials and plaque are included in the Board’s FY2025/26 Working Budget.

 

ALTERNATIVES:

 

The Board of Supervisors could choose not to adopt the resolution and plaque honoring Gilda P. Sanga for her years of service; however, this alternative is not recommended because Gilda P. Sanga’s service to Solano County is worthy of recognition and provides a positive example for others.

 

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:

 

There is no other agency involvement.
