DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

 

The Department of Health and Social Services (H&SS) recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve and present a plaque of appreciation recognizing Dr. Judeth Greco-Gregory, Mental Health Clinical Supervisor, upon her retirement from the Department of Health and Social Services, Behavioral Health Division, with 16 years of dedicated service to Solano County.

 

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

 

Judeth Greco-Gregory received a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology in August 2001. Prior to that, she received a Master of Arts degree in Education with a specialization in Counseling and Guidance from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in March 1991.

 

Before arriving in Solano County, Dr. Greco-Gregory worked as a program coordinator for a crisis call center in Reno, Nevada, then moved to El Dorado County for both her pre and post-Doctoral internships, working as a Mental Health Clinician and as a Mental Health Program Coordinator/Supervisor.   She also worked as a Clinical Psychologist for Pacifica Pain Management Services in St. Helena, California.

 

On July 14, 2008, Dr. Greco-Gregory began her career with Solano County Department of Health and Social Services as a Mental Health Clinical Supervisor in the Behavioral Health Division. Dr. Greco-Gregory’s expertise in her field and work ethic lead to her overseeing Solano County’s behavioral health Access and Managed Care teams.

 

Additionally, Dr. Greco-Gregory was recognized by County Counsel, Public Guardian,  institutional crisis services staff, and judges for outstanding performance as an expert witness for Lanterman-Petris-Short Act (LPS) conservatorship trials between 2008-2011. Between the years of 2009-2013, Dr. Greco-Gregory participated in the contractual development of Partnership Health Plan in establishing Solano County Mental Health’s Managed Care Plan and 24/7 access call center, as well as playing a key role in Solano County Mental Health’s electronic health record exploration and implementation committee.

 

Between 2012 and 2019, Dr. Greco-Gregory developed a formal internship program for the Behavioral Health Division, including serving as the training director with administrative responsibility and authority for the training program and interns. From 2019-2023, Dr. Greco-Gregory co-led efforts to help the Behavioral Health Division become culturally and linguistically competent and sensitive, including implementing a culturally responsive supervision plan and training. Dr. Greco-Gregory finished her career with Solano County, supervising a team that oversees the Behavioral Health Provider Network, Substance Use Quality Assurance, and other managed care functions.

 

During her 16 years with Solano County, Dr. Greco-Gregory demonstrated subject matter expertise, dedication to work, diligence in completing complex tasks, reliability, and leadership as a supervisor.  Dr. Greco-Gregory’s last day of service in Solano County was December 31, 2024. The department and her colleagues wish her all the best in her retirement and future endeavors.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

 

The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and included in the Department’s FY2024/25 Working Budget. The costs associated with the purchase and preparation of the plaque are included in the Board’s FY2024/25 Working Budget.

 

ALTERNATIVES:

 

The Board could choose to not present the plaque of appreciation.  This is not recommended as this is an opportunity to recognize Dr. Judeth Greco-Gregory’s outstanding dedication and contributions to Solano County.
