DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Probation Department recommends the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution and approve a plaque of appreciation honoring Jennifer Archambeault, Deputy Probation Officer, upon her retirement from the Solano County Probation Department with 21 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

Jennifer Archambeault began her employment with the Solano County Probation Department on May 28, 2002, as a Deputy Probation Officer, initially assigned to the Adult Felony Restitution Unit. From the outset of her career, Jennifer demonstrated an unwavering commitment to justice, accountability, and the rehabilitation of those under her supervision. She brought to her role a balance of professionalism, empathy, strength, and traits that would define her more than two decades of public service.

Throughout her 21 years with the department, Jennifer served in a variety of assignments, each one building upon her natural ability to serve with compassion and integrity. Her work consistently reflected the department’s mission to promote safety and positive change in the community.

Jennifer spent most of her career working alongside adult clients, where her calm demeanor, sound judgment, and ability to build trust left a lasting impact. Her interactions with clients were rooted in dignity and mutual respect, often empowering them to take meaningful steps toward a better path. In 2023, Jennifer brought her deep knowledge and experience to the Adult Court Presentencing Investigations Unit, where she conducted thorough investigations, prepared detailed reports, and completed accurate assessments used to provide the Court with a suitable recommendation to assist in making informed sentencing decisions.

Jennifer’s influence extended far beyond her caseload. As a colleague, she was regarded as a reliable and supportive team member. Jennifer listened without judgment, offered thoughtful insight, and stood ready to help wherever needed. Her consistency, warmth, and dedication helped create a strong sense of camaraderie among staff, and she was often a quiet source of stability for those around her.

Jennifer Archambeault officially retired on June 20, 2025, after an extraordinary 21-year career of devoted service to the Solano County Probation Department. Her absence will be felt deeply across the department, but her legacy will continue to shape the culture, values, and heart of the organization for years to come.

The department thanks Jennifer for her outstanding contributions and wishes her continued happiness and fulfillment in retirement. She will be deeply missed.
