DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) recommends that the Board receive a presentation on the selection of Roshita Mukhia as the November 2026 “Employee of the Month.”
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On September 13, 2005, the Board of Supervisors established the County Government Center “Employee of the Month” parking program to recognize outstanding County employees. DoIT is proud to recognize Roshita Mukhia as its November 2026 Employee of the Month for her exceptional performance, collaborative leadership, and commitment to delivering technology improvements that help County departments better serve the community.
As an Info Technology Analyst IV in DoIT’s Project Management Office, Roshita helps turn department needs into practical solutions. She brings together customers, technical teams, and vendors to establish clear goals, resolve challenges, and move projects toward meaningful outcomes. Her thoughtful planning, clear communication, and persistent follow-through help departments adopt new technology and advance important County initiatives.
Roshita’s leadership in the County’s transition from .com to .gov illustrates the reach and value of her work. Roshita helped translate the Countywide goal into an actionable plan, guiding teams through preparation and testing for 61 applications. By bringing the right people together, addressing dependencies, and working through resource needs, she helped teams identify potential problems early and prepare for a successful transition. Beyond implementation, Roshita helped prepare a state reimbursement claim by working with administrative staff to explain the completed work, connected activities to the necessary financial documentation, and supported the County’s opportunity to recover eligible costs.
Roshita applies the same commitment to advancing technology initiatives for the Assessor-Recorder and Probation departments. Roshita leads projects in alignment with DoIT’s framework and quality standards, managing scope, schedules, risks, and drives teams to deliver technology improvements that meet department needs. She keeps department objectives at the center of the work, helps resolve outstanding questions, and brings together the people and information needed to maintain progress. Her contributions demonstrate that effective project management is essential to turning technology investments into improvements for County operations.
Just as significant is the way Roshita strengthens those around her. She is a collaborative partner and dependable team player who consistently receives high praise from the customers and colleagues she works with. She listens, builds trust, and approaches challenges with professionalism and a focus on solutions. Within the Project Management Office, she generously shares her knowledge and lessons learned, helping others strengthen their skills and deliver successful projects.
Roshita’s selection reflects her ability to deliver results while helping others succeed. Her outstanding performance, customer focus, and commitment to teamwork help advance technology across departments and strengthen the services DoIT provides. Solano County is fortunate to have Roshita Mukhia, and DoIT is proud to celebrate her as the November 2026 Employee of the Month.

There is no financial impact associated with this item.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board could elect to name someone else as the Employee of the Month or dissolve the award program; however, these alternatives are not consistent with the Board’s “Employee of the Month” parking program or the department’s selection of Roshita Mukhia.
