DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Resource Management recommends that the Board of Supervisors present a plaque of appreciation to Suganthi Krishnan, Senior Staff Analyst, upon her retirement from the Department of Resource Management with over 16 years of distinguished service to Solano County.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

Suganthi Krishnan, or Su as she is known by her coworkers, began her career with Solano County on March 19, 2001 as an Accountant Auditor I in the Property Tax division of the Auditor-Controller's Office. Su later transferred to the Financial Reporting division and was promoted to an Accountant Auditor II. Among her duties at the Auditor-Controller's Office Su managed and monitored debt service funds, including creation of a cash flow projection methodology. She also assisted with the preparation of the County's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

On August 23, 2009, Su accepted a promotion to a Senior Staff Analyst position with the Department of Resource Management's Public Works Administration division and became an integral and important part of our management team. As a Senior Staff Analyst, Su oversaw fiscal staff for Public Works, and assisted with fiscal issues Department wide. Su improved fiscal efficiency for Public Works by starting a federal invoice tracking system and implementing a process to reconcile the department's cost accounting management system with the County's general ledger system.
