DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the Board receive a presentation from the Department of Resource Management on the selection of Jeffrey Bell as the June 2025 "Employee of the Month" for the County Administration Center making him eligible to use the parking space designated for this honor.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

On September 13, 2005, the Board of Supervisors established the County Government Center "Employee of the Month" parking program for county employees. Each month a County department is designated to select one of its employees as "Employee of the Month." The Department of Resource Management has been designated to select an employee for the month of June 2025, and the Department has selected Jeffrey (Jeff) Bell as the deserving employee.

Jeff began working with the Department of Resource Management, Environmental Health Division in April 1990 as an Environmental Health Specialist trainee in the Consumer Protection program. Currently only 12 full-time employees of Solano County have been here longer. Jeff worked in the Consumer Protection program for seven years, then moved over to the Technical program, where he has been ever since, becoming the Technical program supervisor in 2018. In his 35 years with Environmental Health, Jeff has been an essential member of the Resource Management Department, with an unmatched level of experience and institutional knowledge, and staff from other divisions routinely seek out his input and expertise.
