DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Health and Social Services (H&SS) recommends that the Board of Supervisors adopt and present a resolution and plaque of appreciation recognizing Rozzana Verder-Aliga, Mental Health Services Manager, Senior, upon her retirement from Solano County with 28 years of dedicated public service in the Department of Health and Social Services, Behavioral Health Division.

SUMMARY:

Rozzana Verder-Aliga holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of San Francisco, a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Dr. Verder-Aliga began working for Solano County Behavioral Health as a Mental Health Clinician on December 4, 1995. Her acumen and strong work ethic were quickly recognized, and in 1997 she promoted to the position of Mental Health Program Supervisor. Subsequently, in 2000 she promoted to Mental Health Services Manager and in 2009 promoted to Mental Health Services Manager, Senior. Throughout her career with Solano County Behavioral Health, Dr. Verder-Aliga has supported a variety of teams including the Vallejo Children's outpatient clinics, the California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) Successful Mental Health and Addiction Recovery Treatment (SMART) team, an adult Full-Service Partnership team, a youth development crime prevention program, and cultural competence committee work and other projects.
