DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Health and Social Services recommends that the Board of Supervisors adopt and present a resolution and plaque of appreciation honoring Ann M. Gonzales, Office Assistant II, upon her retirement from Health and Social Services, Employment and Eligibility Services Division, with 32 years of public service, including 20 years of dedicated service with Solano County.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Ann M. Gonzales began her career in public service with the San Francisco Unified School District in 1994 at Woodrow Wilson High School, now Phillip & Sala Burton Academic High School. She moved on to Thurgood Marshall Academic High School, where her dedication and commitment to serving led her to become the Department Head of the Visual and Performing Arts Department. Ms. Gonzales served 12 years with the school district before transitioning to a career at Solano County.
On July 26, 2006, Ms. Gonzales began her career with Solano County as an Office Assistant II with Child Support Services. From the beginning, Ms. Gonzales demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence, professionalism, and the mission of supporting individuals and families.
In July 2009, Ms. Gonzales transferred to Health and Social Services (H&SS), Child Welfare Services Division, where she continued to exemplify compassion, dedication, and reliability while supporting programs serving children and families.
