DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board receive a presentation from the Department of Resource Management on the selection of Erik Hagstr?m as the June 2026 "Employee of the Month" for the County Administration Center making him eligible to use the parking space designated for this honor.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On September 13, 2005, the Board of Supervisors established the County Government Center "Employee of the Month" parking program for county employees. Each month a County department is designated to select one of its employees as "Employee of the Month." The Department of Resource Management has been designated to select an employee for the month of June 2026, and the Department has selected Erik Hagstr?m as the deserving employee.
Erik began his career with the Department of Resource Management as a CivicSpark Fellow in 2023 after graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in Political Economy. During his fellowship, Erik established the initial methodology to evaluate infrastructure capacity for edible food recovered countywide from commercial food generators. In 2024, Erik was hired by the County as an Associate Planner and is responsible for managing the Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) portfolio of 10 energy efficiency programs, processing land use permits for energy projects, and advancing circular economy initiatives for Solano County.
