DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) recommends the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution and plaque of appreciation honoring Thurman Robbson, Information Technology Analyst IV, upon his retirement from Solano County with over 21 years of dedicated public service with Solano County.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Thurman Robbson, Information Technology Analyst IV, is retiring from DoIT, with over 21 years of dedicated public service to Solano County effective November 1, 2024. He started his public service on January 24, 2003, as an Information Technology Specialist II for the Health and Social Services (H&SS) Department and worked his way up through various roles, contributing significantly to several systems and projects such as the Child Welfare Services Case Management System (CWS/CMS), the Employment and Eligibility CalWIN system, and Family Health Services Electronic Medical Record NextGen system.
Mr. Robbson transitioned from H&SS into DoIT in 2007, where he broadened support to all the H&SS department divisions relying on data and interoperability. He played a critical role in migrating the NextGen application system to the cloud based NextGen Managed Cloud Service (MCS) system. He was promoted multiple times, becoming a Systems Analyst (Senior) and later an Information Technology Analyst IV, working on projects such as the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), the Population and Public Health Hub, and most recently the OCHIN Epic system implementation.
