DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Child Support Services recommends that the Board adopts a resolution and plaque of appreciation recognizing William L. Crow, Child Support Attorney IV, upon his retirement from Solano County with over 24 years of dedicated public service in the Department of Child Support Services.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

William L. Crow began his career with Solano County on July 24, 2000 as a Deputy District Attorney IV with the District Attorney (DA) Family Support Division (FSD). When FSD separated from the DA's Office and converted to the Department of Child Support Services (DCSS), Mr. Crow's title changed on June 23, 2002 to Child Support Attorney IV and he has been with this department ever since.

Mr. Crow was born and raised in Solano County and has dedicated the majority of his working life to the welfare of Solano's children. He left a successful private law practice after being recruited by then-District Attorney David Paulson to work in the Family Support Division of the DA's office. As an attorney, Mr. Crow maintained a standard of excellence and rigorous advocacy on behalf of the children whose well-being depends on the support of both of their parents. He represented DCSS before a number of judges and commissioners over the years, earning their trust and respect in the courtroom. Mr. Crow's efforts on behalf of the children of Solano County cannot be overstated.

After 24 years of dedicated service to Solano County and to the members of its community, Mr. Crow retires on May 7, 2025 and we wish him a long, healthy, and happy retirement.
