DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Health & Social Services (H&SS) recommends that the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution and plaque of appreciation recognizing Christina J. Stimmann, Behavioral Health Services Administrator, upon her retirement from Solano County Health and Social Services, with over 22 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
In 2002, Ms. Stimmann interned with the H&SS, Child Welfare Services (CWS) division as part of the Title IV-E Master of Social Work program. In 2003, she was hired as a CWS Social Worker III in the Emergency Response unit and later transferred to the District Attorney's Office of Family Violence Prevention (OFVP), where she acted as the Senior Investigative Social Worker. In 2008, Ms. Stimmann returned to CWS and was promoted to Social Services Supervisor. There, she revamped the appeals process for relative placement assessments and the parent-child visitation practices in the Out-of-Home Services unit. In 2011, Ms. Stimmann was promoted to Assistant Coordinator at the District Attorney's Office of Victim Programs.
Ms. Stimmann successfully passed the Board of Behavioral Sciences clinical exams to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and transitioned to direct clinical work in 2012 as a Licensed Mental Health Clinician in the H&SS, Public Health division. In 2015, Ms. Stimmann was promoted to Mental Health Clinical Supervisor in the Behavioral Health division, promoted again to Mental Health Services Manager in 2019 and was then reclassified to Mental Health Services Manager, Senior in 2023.
