DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Probation Department recommends the Board of Supervisors adopt and present a resolution and plaque of appreciation honoring Shawna Albright, Assistant Director of Probation, upon her retirement from the Solano County Probation Department with 31 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Shawna Albright began her distinguished career with the Solano County Probation Department on April 24, 1995, as a Group Counselor in the Juvenile Detention Facility. She advanced to Deputy Probation Officer on April 19, 1998, was promoted to Senior Deputy Probation Officer on September 3, 2000, Supervising Deputy Probation Officer on June 18, 2006, Probation Services Manager on September 14, 2014, Deputy Director of Probation on February 25, 2018, and finally to the Assistant Director of Probation serving as the Chief Deputy Probation Officer on June 9, 2024.
Throughout her career, Ms. Albright demonstrated unwavering dedication to the community, performing her duties with professionalism, compassion, and responsibility, and consistently striving to positively impact staff, clients, families, and community partners.
Ms. Albright exhibited exemplary leadership across all divisions (Adult, Juvenile, and Institutions), improving each area she served, and successfully completed the Solano County Leadership Academy in March 2016.
