DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Health and Social Services (H&SS) recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve a contract with JJM Integrated Health, Advanced Nursing Inc. for $120,000 to provide Behavioral Health transcranial magnetic stimulation services for the period of May 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026; and Delegate authority to the County Administrator to execute the contract and any subsequent amendments, with County Counsel concurrence, up to an aggregate of $74,999.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Solano County Behavioral Health continues to expand its array of services to meet clients' general and unique service needs as required by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) contract. The customary treatment approach considered to be industry practice for mental health care includes a combination of medication treatment, psychosocial therapies/rehabilitation activities, and case management. Certain individuals do not respond to commonly used medications and therapies, and their conditions are therefore considered "treatment resistant."
Solano County Behavioral Health has worked to find alternative care methodologies to provide efficacious care for plan members whose symptoms have not responded to traditional treatment methods.
