DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
Supervisor Wanda Williams recommends the Board approve the reappointment of Steve Dodini to the Solano Cemetery District as the District 3 representative to fill an unexpired term through January 7, 2030.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Steve Dodini is exceptionally well qualified to continue serving on the Solano Cemetery District Board. During his four years of service, he has played an important role in maintaining the District’s fiscal stability and ensuring that its budget remains financially sound. Mr. Dodini has demonstrated a strong commitment to the District’s long-term success and is eager to continue collaborating with fellow board members on key initiatives, including the expansion of the Rockville Cemetery footprint and development of the proposed cemetery in Fairfield. His dedicated service, leadership, and ongoing commitment to preserving and enhancing the quality of the Solano Cemetery District make him highly deserving of reappointment.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the District 3 FY2025/26 Working Budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board could decide not to appoint Steve Dodini to the Solano Cemetery District. This is not recommended as he is qualified, has served the community for many years and has a desire to serve in this capacity.
