DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Vacaville Fire Protection District recommends the Board of Directors:
Accept two grant awards totaling $709,464 from the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the purchase of a water tender apparatus and a personal protective equipment extractor for the Vacaville Fire Protection District;
Authorize the Interim District Administrator or their designee to sign any documents and approve any amendments required to receive these grant awards and to make the necessary purchases;
Approve an Appropriation Transfer Request totaling $744,938 recognizing revenues totaling $709,464, increasing expenditures from contingencies for a match requirement totaling $35,474 and increasing expenditures by $744,938 (4/5 vote required);
Declare one 1971 Ford C-750 C-Series water tender as surplus District property; and
Authorize the Interim Fire Chief, or designee, to dispose of the surplus property.
