DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Child Support Services recommends that the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution for Angela M. Stewart, Child Support Specialist Journey, upon her retirement from the Solano County Department of Child Support Services with 26 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

Angela Marie Stewart (Angie) began her career with Solano County on December 6, 1993 as a Data Entry Clerk with the District Attorney/Family Support Division, which later became the Department of Child Support Services.
Ms. Stewart promoted to Records Clerk with the Department of Child Support Services in June of 1994.
On May 4, 1997, Ms. Stewart promoted to Family Support Officer Entry and then promoted to Child Support Specialist Journey in June 2000, where she remained until the day of her retirement.
Ms. Stewart provided essential support to her case participants and for the evolving child support program responsible for establishing and enforcing child support to families to meet their basic needs.
Ms. Stewart supported the transition of the child support program from paper files to two different automated systems, in addition to providing support in incorporating Facebook and texting, which ultimately brought the child support program to the forefront of technology.
Ms. Stewart was consistently commended for her dependability, meticulous case reviews, work ethic, and commitment to her team, often assisted other team members with their caseload during prolonged absence from work.
