Accept the Board of Supervisors’ regular meeting calendar for 2026

DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors accept the Board of Supervisors’ regular meeting calendar for 2026; Approve cancellation of the Board of Supervisors’ regular meetings of May 26, 2026, September 8, 2026, October 13, 2026, November 24, 2026, and December 22, 2026, due to the proximity of holidays; July 7, 2026 and July 14, 2026 due to Board Recess, February 24, 2026 for the NACo Legislative Conference, and December 1, 2026 for the CSAC Annual Conference.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Board of Supervisors routinely meet on the first, second, and fourth Tuesday of each month throughout the year. From time to time, meetings have been cancelled to allow the Board members to attend state and national conferences and to meet with State and federal lobbyists.
For calendar year 2026, the following meetings are scheduled for cancellation:
• May 26, 2026, September 8, 2026, October 13, 2026, November 24, 2026, and December 22, 2026 - due to the proximity of holidays
• July 7, 2026, and July 14, 2026 - Board Recess;
• February 24, 2026, for the NACo Legislative Conference; and
• December 1, 2026, for the CSAC Annual Conference
For calendar year 2026, the following meetings are scheduled to be added:
• June 25, 2026 - Budget Hearings
• December 15, 2026
