DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Health and Social Services (H&SS) recommends that the Board approve and present a plaque of appreciation honoring Dennis Sowels, Deputy Public Administrator/Public Guardian/Public Administrator, upon his retirement from the Public Health Division, Older & Disabled Adult Services Bureau with over 11 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Dennis Sowels began his career on October 25, 2007 with Solano County Department of Health and Social Services as a Deputy Public Administrator/Public Guardian/Public Conservator. As a Deputy Public Administrator/Public Guardian/Public Conservator, Mr. Sowels provided case management, estate management and related duties involving conservatorships and/or decedent estates placed under the jurisdiction of the Public Administrator/Public Guardian/Public Conservator to the elderly and disabled population in the Older & Disabled Adult Services Bureau. Mr. Sowels was passionate about the population he served and a staunch advocate for those with disabilities. Mr. Sowels was always willing to help his fellow co-workers, supervisors and managers in applying provisions of applicable laws and case management services to clients of the Public Administrator/Public Guardian/Public Conservator program.
