DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of General Services recommends that the Board of Supervisors:
1. Adopt a resolution authorizing the grant of a non-exclusive easement to Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) for the installation of EV chargers at the Fairfield Civic Center Library 1150 Kentucky St, Fairfield (APN 0030-330-070); and
2. Authorize the County Administrator to execute the non-exclusive easement deed and any other necessary associated documents, including recording the non-exclusive easement deed as required.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The General Services Department is recommending the Board approve a resolution (Attachment A) authorizing the grant of a non-exclusive easement to PG&E at 1150 Kentucky St, Fairfield (APN 0030-330-070). The easement is necessary to complete the installation of new EV chargers at the Fairfield Civic Center Library.
The purpose of the recommended resolution is to authorize the County Administrator to execute the non-exclusive easement deed (Attachment B) and any other necessary associated documents, including recording the non-exclusive easement deed as required.
Solano County was selected to join PG&E's Electrical Vehicle Fast Charge Program and entered into a PG&E Electrical Vehicle Fast Charge Program Contract with EV Charging Solutions, Inc. and PG&E on May 20, 2022, to provide new EV chargers at 1150 Kentucky St, Fairfield (APN 0030-330-070), as shown in Attachment C.
