DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board conduct the Quarterly Meeting of the Suisun Fire Protection District.
SUMMARY/ DISCUSSION:
Regular quarterly meetings are required by the Fire Protection District Law of 1987 which governs the operation of the District. District Resolution No. 26-1 establishes that the Board of Directors shall meet quarterly each year at regular meetings of the Board of Supervisors.
A quarterly update on call response and other services provided is included as Attachment A.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the District’s FY2025/26 Working Budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board could choose not to hold their regular quarterly meeting. However, this is not recommended as regular quarterly meetings are required by Fire Protection District Law of 1987, which governs the operation of the District and District Resolution No. 26-1 establishes that the Board of Directors shall meet quarterly.
