DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Sheriff recommends that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve a contract with Peregrine in the amount of $421,334 for data integration and reporting services for the period of November 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029;
Authorize the County Administrator or designee to execute the contract and any subsequent amendments, pending County Counsel concurrence, up to an annual aggregate of $74,999; and
Authorize the Sheriff, Undersheriff, or Director of Administrative Services to execute any amendments which are technical or administrative in nature.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Sheriff’s Office collects data from multiple decentralized, customer-owned or licensed software, systems, and databases. Data includes, but is not limited to, information, documents, and electronic files. Data is essential to streamline investigations, track crime trends, meet state reporting laws, and build public trust.
