DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Auditor-Controller's Office recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve a plaque of appreciation honoring Ernestine Villanueva, Accountant-Auditor III, upon her retirement from the Auditor-Controller's Office with over 11 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Ernestine Villanueva began her career with Solano County in the Auditor-Controller's Office, Property Tax Division as an Accountant-Auditor I on January 28, 2013. On January 5, 2014, she was flexibly promoted to Accountant-Auditor II. Ms. Villanueva transferred to the Financial Reporting Division on July 20, 2014. She was flexibly promoted to Accountant-Auditor III on November 5, 2017, continuing her work in the Financial Reporting Division until her retirement on December 26, 2024.
During her tenure as Accountant-Auditor, Ernestine Villanueva played a significant role in the preparation and compilation of the County-wide Cost Allocation Plan. Also, she managed the Court's revenue remittances to the State and served as the liaison during the State Controller's Office Court Revenues audit. She mentored coworkers and provided training and guidance to the new staff. Throughout her service, she demonstrated exceptional dedication, commitment, loyalty and dependability to the Auditor-Controller's Office and Solano County. We wish Ernestine Villanueva a long, happy, and healthy retirement.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The cost associated with preparing and purchasing the plaque are included in the Board's FY2024/25 Working Budget. There is no additional impact on the County General Fund. The costs associated with preparing this ...
