DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) recommends that the Board of Supervisors:

1. Approve a contract with Info-Tech Research Group Inc., for $89,496 for Information Technology research, advice, executive counseling, contract review, and workshop services for the term of July 24, 2026, through July 23, 2027; and

2. Authorize the County Administrator to execute the agreement and any subsequent amendments, with County Counsel concurrence, up to an aggregate amount of $74,999.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

Info-Tech Research Group provides independent technology research and advisory services used by DoIT leadership to support strategic planning, vendor management, contract reviews, software evaluations, and technology decision-making. The membership includes a dedicated Executive Counselor, unlimited IT contract review services, unlimited software selection engagements, research libraries, project blueprints, and one five-day onsite workshop. These resources help improve technology governance while reducing reliance on external consulting.

DoIT has utilized the services of Info-Tech since 2024 and would like to continue the partnership through approval of a one-year agreement with Info-Tech Research Group Inc., to provide executive advisory services, IT research, strategic planning resources, technology best practices, unlimited IT contract review, software selection assistance, and one five-day onsite workshop.
