DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
Supervisor Mashburn requests that the Board of Supervisors authorize the County’s contribution of $3,000 from the General Fund contribution allocated to District 5 to benefit the following organizations, including the Vacaville Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club ($1,500) and the Rio Vista Lions Club Foundation ($1,500)

District 5 has identified the following local nonprofit organizations to receive a County contribution:
Vacaville Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club ($1,500)
The Vacaville Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club plays a vital role in enriching the lives of young people throughout Solano County by providing mentorship, support, and positive programs in a safe and welcoming environment. The Club gives young people a productive place to spend their out-of-school hours while helping them build confidence, character, leadership skills, and a desire to learn. Through its programs, the Club empowers young people to believe in themselves, make healthy choices, and prepare for their future. Its goal is for every Club member to graduate from high school with a plan for success, good character and citizenship, and the skills to lead a healthy, productive life.
Rio Vista Lions Club Foundation ($1,500)
