SUMMARY/ DISCUSSION:
National Agriculture Day will be celebrated on March 24, 2026, with National Agriculture Week observed across the country from March 15-21, 2026. These annual observances provide an important opportunity to recognize the vital role agriculture plays in our daily lives and to honor the farmers and ranchers whose dedication ensures a safe, abundant, and reliable food supply - not only for Solano County residents, but for communities around the world.
Solano County is widely recognized as one of the most agriculturally diverse counties in California - often cited as the second most diverse in the state. The agricultural industry contributes more than $460 million annually to the local economy and supports thousands of jobs in farming, processing, transportation, and related support services.
With such a rich agricultural heritage and remarkable diversity of production, Ag Day and Ag Week offer an ideal time to learn more about the significance of agriculture and to celebrate the hardworking farmers...
