DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Child Support Services recommends that the Board adopt a resolution and plaque of appreciation recognizing Donna San Nicolas, Child Support Specialist, upon her retirement from the Department of Child Support Services with over 26 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

Donna San Nicolas began her career with Solano County on March 20, 2000, as an Office Assistant I with the District Attorney/Family Support Division, which later became the Department of Child Support Services (Solano County DCSS). On April 1, 2001, Mrs. San Nicolas was promoted to Office Assistant II.

After seven years of being with Solano County DCSS, Mrs. San Nicolas applied and was hired as an entry-level Child Support Specialist. Through her strong work ethic and commitment, she was promoted to journey-level Child Support Specialist on November 2, 2008. For the next 18 years, Mrs. San Nicolas dedicated herself to serving Solano County families by processing requests for child support services and obtaining court orders to establish parentage, medical support, and child support for the children she served.

Mrs. San Nicolas understood and embraced the importance of service excellence. Mrs. San Nicolas was a valuable member of the Solano County DCSS Establishment team and consistently demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and dedication to the mission of Solano County DCSS.

After 26 years of dedicated service to Solano County and to the members of its community, Mrs. San Nicolas retired on June 19, 2026 and we wish her a long, healthy, and happy retirement.
