DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The County Administrator’s office recommends the Board of Supervisors continue the noticed public hearing on the proposed FY2026/27 user fee schedules to April 28, 2026.
SUMMARYDISCUSSION:
The County annually reviews department fee schedules to ensure cost recovery of services provided by the County. As part of this process, a public hearing was noticed to consider recommended updates to the FY2026/27 department fee schedules. Additional time is needed to complete a comprehensive review of the proposed fee adjustments, and staff recommends continuing the noticed public hearing to April 28, 2026.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no cost to continue the hearing. The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the department’s FY2025/26 Working Budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board could move forward with the public hearing as originally noticed; however, this is not recommended as additional time is needed to complete review of the proposed fee adjustments.
