DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Human Resources recommends the Board of Supervisors receive a presentation on the selection of Kelli Brook as the October 2023 "Employee of the Month" making Ms. Brook eligible to use the parking space designated for this program.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

On September 13, 2005, the Board of Supervisors established the County Government Center "Employee of the Month" program for County employees. Each month a County department is designated to select one of its employees as "Employee of the Month." The Human Resources Department has been designated to select an employee for October 2023.

The Human Resources department staff submitted nominations for the "Employee of the Month" award and nominations were reviewed by the managers for final selection with Kelli Brook selected.

Ms. Brook began working in the Human Resources Department in June 2022 as an Office Coordinator. In her role, Ms. Brook performs a variety of critical functions in a consistently upbeat and positive manner as exemplified by comments from her peers including: "Kelli always goes above and beyond to assist everyone who comes to her seeking advice and she always has a positive attitude whenever she's presented with a challenge" and "she is super helpful to everyone in the department (and externally) and always displays a positive, can-do attitude. If she doesn't know the answer to a question, she researches it and finds the answer."

The Human Resources Department team congratulates Ms. Brook on being selected as "Employee of the Month."
