DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
Supervisor James requests that the Board of Supervisors approve the appointment of Steven Pasholk to serve on the Library Advisory Council representing District 1 for a term to expire on September 30, 2025.
SUMMARY:
Mr. Pasholk has lived in Vallejo for the past 25 years. He graduated summa cum laude from the Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in social studies and earned a master’s degree with a concentration in history from Fort Hayes University. Throughout his time in Vallejo, Mr. Pasholk has been an active user of the library system, taking advantage of its resources and attending various events. As a result, he brings a unique perspective to the board and understands the vital role the library system plays in the community.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the department’s FY2024/25 Working Budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board may choose not to approve this appointment. This is not recommended as Mr. Pasholk is knowledgeable and deeply committed to the mission of the Library Advisory Council.
