DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:

1. Approve a WDB contract for network administration services with "Interactive Technology Services, Inc." of Fairfield, CA., beginning October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017; and

2. Authorize the WIB President/Executive Director to sign the contract for $47,785.

Upon the successful completion of this twelve (12) month contract, the contractor would be eligible for two additional 12 month contract renewals - subject to WDB and County approval - for a maximum service period of three years.

The Workforce Development Board of Solano County has approved this contract at its September 16, 2016 meeting and is recommending approval by the Board of Supervisors.

SUMMARY:

The WDB of Solano County has ongoing need for professional support for: a) network administration; b) help desk support; c) server upgrades; and d) systems maintenance on behalf of the WDB itself and the One Stop Career Center (entitled the Americas Job Center of California.)

The WDB traditionally procures a local vendor to provide such services. An open, competitive request for proposals (RFP) process was conducted to secure such a vendor.

The Fairfield-based and minority-owned "Interactive Technology Services, Inc." submitted a proposal which gained the highest review score.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
