DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Health and Social Services (H&SS) recommends that the Board of Supervisors:

1. Approve a first amendment with Solano County Resource Family Association for $86,747 for a total contract amount of $336,747, to provide enhanced supports and services to Solano County foster youth and their caregivers for the current period through June 30, 2026;

2. Delegate authority to the County Administrator to execute the amendment and any subsequent amendments, with County Counsel concurrence, up to an aggregate of $74,999; and

3. Approve a $86,747 Appropriation Transfer Request to increase appropriations and recognize the unanticipated revenue (4/5 Vote Required).

SUMMARY/DICUSSION:

First established in the Budget Act of 2022, Flexible Family Supports for Home-Based Foster Care was designed to support home-based care and stabilize placements for children and youth in foster care.
