DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Resource Management recommends that the Board of Supervisors:
1) Authorize the Director of Resource Management to execute contract amendments totaling $150,000 with Consor North America, Inc. for the Stevenson Bridge Rehabilitation Project; and
2) Authorize the Director of Resource Management to execute amendments to the existing Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) utility agreement and authorize payments not to exceed $250,000.
SUMMARY:
The Department of Resource Management (Department) is rehabilitating Stevenson Bridge in northern Solano County. Due to the complexity of the project, the Department requires additional services on existing contracts for bridge design, construction management, and utility coordination. The Department requests authorization to execute the following contract amendments with Consor North America, Inc. to provide construction management and construction engineering support necessary to complete the Stevenson Bridge Rehabilitation Project:
1) Construction Management Contract Amendment (Attachment A) - $100,000 increase; and
2) Construction Engineering Support Contract Amendment (Attachment B) - $50,000 increase.
