DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Health and Social Services recommends that the Board of Supervisors adopt and present a resolution and plaque of appreciation recognizing Janelle Bogue, Office Supervisor, upon her retirement from Solano County with 23 years of dedicated service in the Department of Health and Social Services, Welfare Administration Division.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Janelle Bogue began her career on May 2, 2001, as an office assistant II in the Department of Health and Social Services (H&SS), Welfare Administration's Fiscal Issuance Unit.
On February 17, 2002, Ms. Bogue transferred to the Auditor Controller's Office as an accounting clerk I, promoting to an accounting clerk II on September 15, 2002, and an accounting clerk III on January 30, 2005, where she provided accounting support.
Ms. Bogue promoted to an accounting technician in the H&SS, Administration Division on December 30, 2007 where she provided accounting support and statistical reporting and recording activities.
In 2017, Ms. Bogue transferred to the Fiscal and Reporting Unit in Employment and Eligibility Services and promoted to office supervisor in 2020. Her position transferred in 2024 to the Fiscal Disbursement Bureau in the H&SS, Welfare Administration Division where she coordinated/supervised staff in the Supportive Services Issuances unit which supports individuals in becoming self-sufficient. Ms. Bogue also provided support during the migration from the California Welfare Information Network (CalWIN) to the California Statewide Automated Welfare System (CalSAWS).
