DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Probation Department recommends the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution and plaque of appreciation honoring Angelita Vallejo-Felix, Senior Deputy Probation Officer, upon her retirement from the Probation Department, with over 30 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Angelita Vallejo-Felix began her employment with Solano County in the Public Health Department on December 04, 1995. Angelita joined the Probation Department as a Deputy Probation Officer on May 13, 2001, and was promoted to Senior Deputy Probation Officer on June 19, 2005.
Angelita provided over three decades of service to the Solano County community and was influential in many ways and through different assignments within the Department, applying professional skills and a compassionate approach to the supervision, support, and guidance of probation clients.
During her career with Probation, Angelita worked with clients in both the Juvenile and Adult Divisions, in the following assignments: Juvenile Sex Offender, Placement and Intake, Domestic Violence, Post-Release Community Supervision, Intensive/General Supervision, the Center for Positive Change, Offender Link/Placement, and the Adult Court Unit. Her years of work with at-risk youth involved providing support, supervision, and a caring disposition. Her work with adult clients proceeded no differently, as she continued to exemplify what it is to show care, all while working collaboratively and building effective relationships with law enforcement agencies and community partners throughout the county.
