DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
Supervisor Thomson requests that the Board of Supervisors approve the appointment of Nicole Neff to serve on the First 5 Commission, representing District 5, for a four year term to expire April 25, 2021.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Mrs. Nicole Neff is a resident of Vacaville and has been active countywide as a volunteer with Parents Empowering Parents, a support group for parents of children with special needs. Mrs. Neff’s professional experience is rooted in education and includes experience as an Autism Services Coordinator with the Children’s Nurturing Project. As a parent of a special needs child, Mrs. Neff understands what is happening in our community and is looking forward to bringing that perspective to the continuing work of the First 5 Commission. Supervisor Thomson is excited to welcome Nicole Neff to the First 5 Commission.
