DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

Adopt a resolution recognizing the 75^th anniversary of the Benicia Veterans of Foreign War Post 3928.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

Adopt a resolution recognizing the 75^th anniversary of the Benicia Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3928. Post 3928 was founded on July 13, 1944. In the years since, Post 3928 has provided resources to Benicia veterans and the community. Post 3928 provides advocacy, support and resources to veterans and the local community. Post 3928 will be having a celebration this year for their 75^th anniversary.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and is included in the department’s FY2018/19 Adopted Budget. The costs associated with preparation and purchase of the resolution materials are included in the Board’s FY2018/19 Adopted Budget.
